The suspect in a September triple homicide in Snellville may be in Louisiana, Gwinnett police said Monday.

A pickup truck stolen half a mile from the scene of the crime Sept. 15 was recovered in New Orleans, La., on Oct. 2

According to Gwinnett police, that information, combined with other information gathered during the investigation, leads detectives to believe the suspect, 33-year-old Robert Bell, is there.

Bell has been on the loose since the evening of Sept. 15, when authorities believe he waited to ambush a family — a mother, her boyfriend, her son and her godson — who had taken him into their home on Anderson Livsey Lane.

All but the boyfriend, 23-year-old Justin Cato, were killed by gunfire.

Anyone with information regarding Bell’s whereabouts can submit anonymous tips by visiting crimestoppersatlanta.org or calling 404-577-TIPS. A reward of $5,000 is being offered by Crime Stoppers for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
