Gwinnett Tech's fall plant sale starts Tuesday

The arrival of fall means it’s time for an annual tradition at Gwinnett Technical College — its fall plant sale.

Hosted by the Environmental Horticulture program, the sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at the greenhouse near Building 600 on the campus, which is located at 5150 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville. All plants are sold by the students who grew them.

This year’s offerings include:

  • Pansies and violas

  • Snapdragons
  • Distylium “Emerald Heights”
  • Beautyberry
  • Gardenia (Chuck Hayes, August Beauty, Radicans and more)
  • Confederate Jasmine
  • Osmanthus (Fragrant Tea Olive and Fortunes Osmanthus “Fruitlandii”)
  • Southern Wood Fern
  • Japanese Maple
  • Crapemyrtle (Plum Magic, Pocomoke and Pink Velour)
  • Heucherella “Buttered Rum”
  • Sedum “Autumn Joy”
  • Yellow Anise Tree
  • Oakleaf Hydrangea
  • Banana Shrub
  • Fall herbs and vegetables (Romaine Lettuce, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cilantro, Collards, Parsley, Bok Choy)
  • Ornamental grasses (Blue Fescue, Sweet Flag, Variegated Miscanthus)
