DULUTH — Need some new ideas for the kitchen? Or helpful tips to make meal time less painful?
The Taste of Home Cooking Show returns to the Convention Center at the Arena at Gwinnett Center with food vendors, product samples and a two-hour cooking demonstration on Thursday, Oct. 24.
One of the magazine’s top culinary experts, Michelle “Red” Roberts, who is originally from Mississippi, will be preparing several new recipes from start to finish, demonstrating with an overhead camera. She will also be dishing out helpful pointers and techniques that any everyday chef can use.
Attendees experience recipe demonstrations using ingredients that are found at the grocery store and the dishes are submitted by home cooks from across the country.
One of this year’s recipes includes spinach stuffed chicken pockets, which can be cooked on a weeknight after a busy day.
All attendees receive a gift bag that has the Taste of Home Cooking School magazine. The 68-page special issue includes recipes featured during the program, along with other meals, as well as coupons from participating national food companies. Attendees can also enter for a chance to win one of many door prizes, including the recipes created onstage that night.
