PEACHTREE CORNERS — Leaders in Peachtree Corners are still celebrating the greatest achievement of its mega-homeowners association — the creation and organization of Georgia’s newest city.
But this year, a year after cityhood became official, the United Peachtree Corners Civic Association has something else to celebrate — its 20th anniversary.
The association, which has organized individual homeowner associations in the northwestern Gwinnett corner to combat zoning issues, clean up the community and create a brand, continues to meet, hosting candidate debates, informational sessions and other projects in the city.
A 20th anniversary gala and awards ceremony is coming up, with $25 tickets on sale for the Saturday, Oct. 26 event at the Peachtree Corners Marriott Hotel on Technology Parkway.
The event includes hor d’oeuvres, a seated dinner, dancing and a cash bar, and organizers intend to use the opportunity to acknowledge some of the leaders int he organization with STAR Awards.
