SUWANEE — Want to give back to a school while eating some of Gwinnett’s best cuisine?

Join the seventh annual Taste of Suwanee, which features 34 food vendors as well as artists, businesses and nonprofits coming together to raise money for the North Gwinnett High School Basketball Booster Club.

On Saturday, some of the restaurants and eateries that will be present are Mellow Mushroom, Segreto Italian Cuisine, Uptown Grill, Twisted Taco, Praise the Lard BBQ, SunO Dessert and Mango Cuban — to name a few.

The artists and business include everything from Sugar Hill Spine & Wellness and State Farm Insurance to Michael Hardy Pottery and Anita Stewart Gallery.

When you’ve had your fill of food, throughout the day, there is live entertainment. The headliners are All Star Dancer & The Flare from 3 to 4 p.m. and Wicked Rabbit from 4:15 to 5 p.m.

New this year is 5K race along the Suwanee Greenway that begins at 11 a.m. Race registration begins at 10 a.m.

The North Gwinnett Basketball Booster Club receives partial funds from the event, which helps the players with uniforms and equipment each season.

Food samples and the kids’ zone rides range from one to six tickets depending on the vendor and quantity. Tickets are 50 cents a piece. Admission to the event is free.

There is free parking at Town Center Park and Shadowbrook Baptist Church. Shuttles will run from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. between the park and Shadowbrook.
