SUWANEE — Applications are being accepted to be a part of Suwanee’s busy event calendar next year.
The city of Suwanee typically hosts about 40 events each year, primarily at Town Center Park, and begins planning now for 2014. The city typically hosts concerts, festivals and this year added food trucks on Fridays throughout the summer.
City officials said in a press release that applications are due by Dec. 6 to be considered. Once the city’s event calendar is adopted early next year, more events are not usually added. Applications are available at www.suwanee.com.
“Suwanee prides itself on offering a mix of traditional favorites and new events each year,” Suwanee Events Manager Amy Doherty said in the release. “We welcome a variety of ideas — and applications — that represent the various flavors, cultures and interests of our community.”
Applicants are expected to be notified about the status of their application by the end of January.
