The Exorcist 40th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray (R)
Movie: 4 out of 4 stars
Disc: 4 out of 4 stars
Nominated for 10 Oscars and the winner of two, “The Exorcist” is the most critically acclaimed horror film of all-time and is arguably the most disturbing. Based on actual events that took place in Silver Spring, Md. (my hometown) in the 1950s, the movie was a lightning rod for controversy before it even came out and it was all anyone talked about for months. It has aged remarkably well and even after multiple viewings, it never fails to reveal something previously unnoticed.
