Louise Eleanor Ford Stevens, 82, of Tucker, GA, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Atria Tucker Assisted Living in Tucker.
She was born Mar. 19, 1931, in Patterson, IL, the daughter of Harold Franklin and Lelia Josephine Helliwell Ford. She married Russell Louis Stevens on May 14, 1949, and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1992.
She is survived by one daughter, Bonita Renee Stevens Kalen Camacho, and two grandchildren, Luke Charles Kalen and Katherine Louise Stevens, all of Lawrenceville, GA; a sister-in-law in St. Louis; a brother-in-law in Michigan; a sister-in-law and several cousins in Jacksonville; and good friends who helped care for her, Chris Spencer and Dixie Grimm. She was preceded in death by two sons, Rickey Nelson Stevens and Robyn Lawrence Stevens (surviving wife Vicky Lynn Brown Stevens of Lawrenceville, GA).
Mrs. Stevens was a 1948 graduate of Jacksonville High School. She and her husband had lived in Hawaii, where she was an Avon Representative, and the Philippine Islands, before settling in Atlanta, GA, where she worked at the Atlanta Airport in the Aviation Dept. for several years. Louise was of member of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed going to church, golfing, and her cats. She especially loved her husband, family and grandson.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Monday at Diamond Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville. Memorials are suggested to Atria Healthcare of Tucker, GA, American Diabetes Assn. or American Cancer Society.
