Patricia (Pat) Foster Williams, age 80, of Snellville, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 30, 2013. Pat was born December 25, 1932. She was pre-deceased by her Husband, Col. Royce C. Williams, USA (Ret); Daughters, Katherine Elaine Williams and Marie Diane Williams Turner Davis; Granddaughter, Lauren Turner; Sister, Sara Foster Miles, and Niece, Emily Miles Kelley.
Surviving are her Mother, Runell Brooks Foster; Sister, Mary Foster Thompson; Nieces, Amelia Thompson Eubanks, Laura Thompson Allen and husband, Wayne, Julia Miles Frye; Great Nieces, Rebekah Eubanks, Caroline Allen, Claire Allen; Dear Friends, Art and Susan Bennett and many other caring friends and cousins.
Pat was a graduate of Grayson High School, West Georgia College, and attended The University of Georgia. She and Royce C. Williams were married in 1953. Royces military career provided opportunities for extended travel which Pat enjoyed and she made many life-long friends.
She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, Grayson. She was active in the JOY Sunday School Class and held leadership positions in Church and Association Womans Missionary Union.
The Service Honoring Pats life will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at 3:00pm at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Dr. Tim Brogan, Dr. Carl Hart, and Rev. Gerald Tanton officiating. Interment will follow at the Snellville Historical Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, October 1st, from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Camp Pinnacle Capital Campaign Fund, Georgia WMU/WEM, 6405 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Duluth, GA 30097.
