LAWRENCEVILLE — The Aurora Theatre is in the holiday spirit.

The Lawrenceville venue is hosting a Need a Little Christmas Giveaway for someone who is struggling financially and may need a night out on the town.

“I’m thrilled with Aurora’s newest holiday tradition,” Aurora’s Producing Artistic Director Anthony Rodriguez said. “With all of the talented artists we work with backed by an incredibly supportive community, life is good. This gives us the opportunity to ‘pay it forward.’”

Aurora Box Office Associate EB Hooyer came up with the idea for the giveaway.

“I came into the office and said, ‘I want to look outside ourselves this holiday season and bring Christmas cheer to those who need it most,’” she said. “I was overwhelmed by the immediate support from everyone.”

Grand prize winners receive four tickets to “Christmas Canteen” and a gift certificate for dinner at either McCray’s Tavern, La Cazuela Mexican Restaurant or Blue Rooster Bake Shop & Eatery. One winner will be chosen each of the three Wednesdays in December before Christmas.

Runners-up receive a family four-pack of tickets to an Aurora Children’s Playhouse show in December. Winners will be chosen each of the three Wednesdays in December before Christmas.
