Mall of Georgia power back on after outage

A power outage at the Mall of Georgia Wednesday won’t interfere with the biggest shopping days of the year, officials said.

The outage, attributed to high winds, was brief, and officials said there were not interruptions to normal business.

“This outage is not expected to have an impact on Black Friday preparation,” said Carol Cox, the Buford mall’s marketing director.

The mall is set to open at 8 p.m. Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, for an early beginning to the Black Friday shopping, a beginning to the holiday season.
