NORCROSS — A fire at a Norcross laundromat is under investigation by Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services.
Crews were dispatched to the fire about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday when a customer at the laundromat, located at 3300 Jones Mill Road, called 911 to report the fire and that other customers were getting out of the building.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke and fire in the business with fire showing from the eaves of the roof. Crews quickly entered the business and attempted to extinguish the flames, and the fire was contained to the laundromat.
“Firefighters pulled siding from the damaged building to ensure complete extinguishment,” fire department spokesman Lt. Colin Rhoden said. “There were no injuries reported.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
