Gwinnett’s top elected official will vote for Chuck Efstration in the runoff to become the county’s newest legislator.

“I believe that he understands the needs of our district, and I trust him to effectively serve us,” said Commission Chairwoman Charlotte Nash, who lives in House District 104, the only county race on the upcoming Dec. 3 runoff.

Efstration, a former assistant district attorney and former Gwinnett GOP chairman, has garnered a slate of endorsements in the campaign, including Sheriff Butch Conway, District Attorney Danny Porter and Dacula Mayor Jimmy Wilbanks.

“I am honored to have earned the vote of Chairman Charlotte Nash,” said Efstration. “Throughout this campaign, I have worked to express my vision to bring energetic, conservative leadership to the State House and earn the votes of the residents of District 104.”

On the Dec. 3 ballot, Efstration faces community activist Teresa Cantrell in the race to replace Donna Sheldon, who resigned to focus on a congressional campaign.
