Central program honored for Global Entrepreneurship Week

Two hundred members of Central Gwinnett High School’s Entrepreneurship Program are being honored this week by the city of Lawrenceville for Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Lawrenceville’s city council has honored Assistant Principal Donna Alexander and teacher Todd Reeves for forming the school’s first entrepreneurship class this school year. The students take the course as an elective.

This is the first year Central has participated in the Entrepreneurship Alliance between Gwinnett County Public Schools and the cities of Snellville, Lawrenceville and Grayson.

Students are taught the principles of entrepreneurship and given the opportunity for a hands-on experience in the classroom. Members of the business community speak to students who learn to create a business they can launch and become part of the business community themselves.
