GRAYSON — Grab your spoons and elastic pants — Greater Eastside Chamber of Commerce is hosting its ninth annual hot Tamale Chili Cookoff in Grayson from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
This year’s festivities will be held at Grayson City Park with arts and craft vendors, activities for the kids, eight music acts, and more than 35 chili competitors.
Admission is $5, which includes all-you-can-eat chili and live music. Children under 6 are free.
The Chili Cook-off is the major annual fundraising event for the Chamber. A large portion of the proceeds go to charitable organizations in the cities of Grayson, Snellville and Loganville.
Sponsors of the event include Country Financial, Southeast Urgent Care, Summit Chase Country Club, Tom M. Wages Funeral Home, Purofirst of Gwinnett, Brusters Ice Cream, Moosehead Marketing Solutions, Quality Awards and Freskos Media.
At the end of the event, winners will take home the top prizes.
