Chiefs cut former Wesleyan standout Hall

Kansas City added wide receiver Kyle Williams, released Tuesday by the 49ers, to its roster and cut Wesleyan grad Chad Hall to make room for the new addition.

Hall, also a wideout, caught just one pass for nine yards this season for the unbeaten Chiefs, who claimed the 27-year-old earlier this season after he was one of the 49ers' final preseason cuts. He reached the Super Bowl during his two previous seasons with San Francisco and also played for the Eagles, where he caught 14 passes for 135 yards in 2010 and 2011.

Prior to his NFL career, Hall was a star player at Air Force.
