Police seeking suspects in Norcross convenience store robbery

NORCROSS — Two burglars stole thousands of dollars worth of cigarettes from a Norcross gas station Oct. 16, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department, and authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspects.

The break-in occurred about 2:30 a.m., when the suspects targeted the Chevron Food Mart at 1251 Indian Trail-Lilburn Road.

“The suspects made entry by prying open a side door with a crowbar,” Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said. “Once inside the suspects stole approximately 70 cartons of cigarettes valued at over $3,000.”

One suspect is described as a tall, black male with a thin build. The second suspect is described as a black male of average height and build with glasses and a goatee. According to police, the suspects may be driving a new model, silver Dodge Charger.

These two suspects are believed to have also committed three commercial burglaries in Douglas County and one in Fulton County, using the same M.O. in each case, police said.
