For established patients, Thursday, Nov. 21 is Patient Appreciation Day and patients will receive a free adjustment in exchange for a bag of 10 food items. The most needed items include peanut butter, jelly, cereal, macaroni and cheese, oatmeal, canned fruit — pineapple, peaches, fruit cocktail — canned meat — Spam and tuna — peas, pasta and pasta sauce.
The practice will be serving Chick-fil-A biscuits, sandwiches and fruit cups throughout the day.
Maloof said this fundraising effort has been held for several years.
“Each year my patients dig deep and really come out for this,” Maloof said. “They continue to surprise me with their generosity. Last time we were able to donate an entire pickup truck load of food to the Duluth Co-op.”
