Lawrenceville to observe 'Day of Honor'

The annual event honors veterans of all branches of the military

LAWRENCEVILLE — To honor armed service veterans, the city of Lawrenceville invites all veterans to “A Day of Honor” at the city’s visitors center on Monday, Veterans Day.

From noon to 2 p.m., veterans from many different backgrounds and branches unite for an afternoon complete with an “all-American” lunch and live music performed by by the Central Gwinnett High School Band and Voices of Gwinnett.

For those veterans who are struggling while looking for a job, the Georgia Department of Labor is offering a resume and employment workshop during the event.

There are other veteran service vendors to be on site.

The visitors center is located at 233 E. Crogan St. in Lawrenceville.
