Peachtree Ridge runner to host 5K for Eagle Scout project

Peachtree Ridge cross country runner Isaac Penman will host the Better Health for Haiti 5K Run/Walk on Nov. 16 as his Eagle Scout project.

The event, which begins at 9 a.m. at Suwanee’s George Pierce Park, benefits a non-profit organization that provides health education to Haitian citizens. The cost is $22 to register prior to Nov. 14 or $25 on race day. Race T-shirts are guaranteed only to pre-registered runners.

Race-day signups begin at 7:30 a.m. in the pavilion at the rear of George Pierce Park.
