LAWRENCEVILLE — A Day of Hope Foundation is gearing up for its annual community celebration.
On Saturday, the nonprofit is hosting its free family event from noon to 5 p.m. on the lawn of the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse.
There are activities and live entertainment for everyone in the family.
A kids zone features bounce houses, face painting, story time and popcorn. On the main stage, there are several styles of dance to be shown, performances by teen music groups and local bands, plus messages of hope.
The adults can receive behavior and addiction counseling, free medical testing and eye exams, visit health and wellness kiosks and a free spa area.
Throughout the event, there will be a blood drive and motorcycle show, plus grocery bags and coats for kids (infant to high school) while supplies last.
A Day of Hope’s mission is “to bring hope to the people in our community by connecting them with available resources to address their spiritual, emotional and physical needs.”
