Three people with Gwinnett football ties will receive top awards Monday at the Touchdown Club of Atlanta-National Football Foundation Chapter’s weekly meeting at 103 West in Buckhead.
Buford’s Deion King was selected as the lineman of the week and Archer’s Andy Dyer was voted the club’s coach of the week. King’s Buford team is 9-0 entering the final regular season game, while Dyer’s Tigers are 10-0 and are the Region 8-AAAAAA champions.
Parkview head coach Cecil Flowe, winner of a 197 games and four state championships with the Panthers, will receive the club’s Special Achievement Award at Monday’s event. Flowe is retiring from Parkview next month.
The other honorees Monday are back of the week Deshaun Watson of Gainesville and team of the week Marietta. Nebraska coaching legend Tom Osborne is the featured speaker.
