Berkeley Lake residents elect three council members

BERKELEY LAKE — Berkeley Lake’s incumbent for city council received the most votes during Tuesday’s election, according to unofficial results.

Scott R. Lee received 198 votes and will be joined on the council by Jack W. “Chip” McDaniel Jr., with 159 votes, and W. Rodney Hammond, with 152 votes, as the top three vote-getters.

“I’m delighted to hear,” Hammond said when told of his win. “I look forward to this time of community service and I’m glad the suspense is over.”

Rounding out the results, Pekka Ignatius received 132 votes and Jeffery Allen Morgan received 69 votes.
