Digital Bookmobile making stops at two Gwinnett libraries

The Digital Bookmobile National Tour is coming to two Gwinnett libraries this week.

The Digital Bookmobile, a high-tech tractor-trailer that creates an immersive download experience built around the library system’s OverDrive site, will showcase the free eBook download service from Gwinnett County Public Library.

The 18-wheeler will be at the Grayson library branch from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday and at the Hamilton Mill branch from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday. At these free events, readers of all ages can learn how to download eBooks from the library through interactive demonstrations and high-definition instructional videos. Interactive learning stations will give patrons an opportunity to search the library’s digital media collection, use supported mobile devices and sample eBooks, audiobooks, music and video.

Attendees can also check out a gadget gallery featuring the Kindle, iPod touch, Android tablet, Nook, Sony Reader, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and more.
