Arena at Gwinnett Center announces two new events

Professional Bull Riders and Harlem Globetrotters to come in 2014

DULUTH — The Arena at Gwinnett Center has recently announced two more events to take place at its facilities.

On Jan. 18 and 19, Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series comes to Duluth after a year hiatus.

During the two-day event, the top 35 bull riders in the world face off with animals 10 times their weigh during 8-second battles where only one athlete will be left standing.

Among the stars expected to compete are former PBR World Champions Silvano Alves, Renato Nunes and Kody Lostroh as well as previous Atlanta area victors J.B Mauney and Guilherme Marchi.

Tickets range from $18 to $103.

On March 15, the Harlem Globetrotters returns with its “Fans Rule” World Tour.

Online voting is now open at harlemglobetrotters.com/rule, where all fans can choose which new game-changing rules they want to see in Duluth.

The roster includes Special K Daley, Big Easy Lofton, Flight Time Lang, Hi-Lite Bruton and Dizzy Grant, plus female stars TNT Maddox, T-Time Brawner and Sweet J Ekworomadu.

Tickets range from $28 to $156.
