Cops: Man exposed himself for at least fifth time

LAWRENCEVILLE -- A Lawrenceville man is accused of exposing himself and masturbating around his apartment complex at least three times -- not to mention two previous arrests for public indecency.

Kevin Kamar Alexander, 28, was arrested this week and charged with public indecency. According to a Gwinnett County police report, Alexander was spotted Monday in a breezeway at the Sugarloaf Apartments, peering over a playground with his pants down.

The mother who reported seeing Alexander while at the playground with her 19-month-old son told police that he was "looking in her direction with the front of his shorts pulled down with his genitals exposed."

"(The woman) said that the male was masturbating while looking in her direction," authorities said.

After the alleged victim described who she saw, the "courtesy officer" living at the apartment complex told the responding Gwinnett County officer that Alexander was likely their man. He said it was "the third incident involving this male with the same description," including an April 22 incident in which he allegedly dropped his pants in the vicinity of the same playground.

Police approached Alexander's apartment, but he reportedly refused to come out until his mother returned home. He was eventually apprehended.

Gwinnett County jail records show Alexander was already out on bond for a separate March 25 arrest charging him with public indecency. He was also arrested in July 2010 on three counts of public indecency and one conut of obstruction of a police officer. Information regarding those incidents was not immediately available Friday.

Jail records showed Alexander was still being held Friday on $7,000 bond.
