Mary Cain Hanson, age 87, of Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia passed away peacefully with her loving daughter, son-in-law and other family members by her side, Friday, May 24th. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Gray Hanson; her parents, Elmer and Dovie Mae Cain and several brothers and sisters. Mary is survived by her daughter, Carol Huggins, son-in-law, Fred, grandson Andy and great grandchildren Emily Anne and Tony of Fernandina Beach, Florida; sisters Sara McKenney of Athens, Georgia, Martha Bramlett of Demorest, Georgia, James (Karen) Cain of Helen, Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was born and raised in DeKalb County Georgia and held a long career as an Interior Decorator. She was a member of Tucker Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 11:00 am to noon at Tom M. Wages, Lawrenceville with a graveside funeral service honoring Marys life following at 1:00 pm at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker, GA. The Reverend Connie Boltinghouse, a close family friend will officiate.
