Wesleyan grad Armstrong makes final Dream roster

Wesleyan grad and WNBA rookie Anne Marie Armstrong made the final Atlanta Dream roster when the team announced its final cuts Wednesday.

The Dream waived forward Cathrine Kraayeveld and guard Sydney Carter, in addition to suspending forward Yelena Leuchanka, to get down its 11-player roster for Saturday's season and home opener vs. the Tulsa Shock.

Armstrong was drafted in the third round (No. 31 overall) by the Dream in this year's WNBA Draft after finishing her four-year career at Georgia. The 6-foot-3 guard/forward will be one of three rookies on the Atlanta roster along with guard Alex Bentley out of Penn State and guard Courtney Clements out of San Diego State.
