Mill Creek dominates All-Region 7-AAAAAA baseball team

After winning its fourth straight Region 7-AAAAAA baseball championship this spring, Mill Creek was well represented when the all-region team was released Wednesday.

The Hawks swept the superlatives, with junior shortstop Logan Moseley being named the region's Player of the Year, with senior right-hander Cody Pugh earning Pitcher of the Year honors and Doug Jones getting the nod for Coach of the Year.

In addition, three other Mill Creek players -- pitcher Shane Seckinger and outfielders Brandon Harmon and Bryan Hudson -- were also named to the All-Region team.

Region runner-up Peachtree Ridge had the next most players on the team, with pitcher/infielders Tyler Haswell and Jonathan Hudson, catcher Anthony Perez and outfielder Drew Wharton all being honored.

Other members named to the team were pitcher/first baseman Cole Zabowski of Collins Hill, Duluth outfielder ryan McClendon, pitcher A.J. Moore of Mountain View, second baseman Peyton Fore and outfielder Beau Blair of Mountain View, catcher Griffin Helms and pitcher/utility player Trevor Craport of Norcross, outfielder Cody Short and infielder/pitcher Blake Sangster of North Gwinnett and Habersham Central's Zach Lee.
