JOHNS CREEK -- A local man has been named vice president of business development for W.H. Bass Inc. General Contractors.
An industry veteran, Brian Mulligan will oversee business development, marketing and client relations efforts.
W.H. Bass is a national builder of restaurants, retail, petroleum/convenience store, health care and bank and credit union projects.
"I am very excited to join the W.H. Bass team," Mulligan said.
W.H. Bass President Marty Robinson said it was important that the firm hire the right person for the role.
"I am very pleased that Brian has joined our team and I am confident he will do an outstanding job in helping us to deliver exceptional service and results to our current and future clients," Robinson said.
Mulligan, who holds a bachelor of arts in journalism from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., previously served as director of business development for Atlanta-based Evergreen Construction and brings more than 30 years of industry experience to his new responsibilities.
Prior to his tenure at Evergreen, Mulligan also served as director of business development for Sharpe Construction and spent more than 20 years in a range of roles at construction data providers McGraw-Hill and Reed Construction Data where, as director of research operations, he led a 250-person data gathering operation.
Hotel Equities promotes man at Buford hotel
BUFORD -- Atlanta-based Hotel Equities recently promoted Dee Muff to Hotel Manger of the Courtyard by Marriott, a 110-room hotel at the Mall of Georgia.
Muff has responsibility for overseeing management of operations at the hotel including hiring employees and meeting budget goals. Until recently, he had served as the general manager at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Alpharetta.
"Dee demonstrated leadership with our associates at the hotel and a real commitment to give back to the community in his previous posts with Hotel Equities," said Elizabeth Derby, the firm's vice president of hotel operations. "Our guests will benefit from his genuine spirit of hospitality."
Muff joined Hotel Equities in 2010 and has more than 16 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He attended Valdosta State and lives with his wife and teenage daughter in Lawrenceville.
