G-Braves to play Monday doubleheader with Bats

Rain forced the postponement of Sunday's game between the Gwinnett Braves and the Louisville Bats, originally scheduled for 2:05 p.m. at Coolray Field. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader scheduled for Monday at 5:05 p.m.

Both games of Monday’s doubleheader will be seven-inning contests separated by a brief break. Left-hander Sean Gilmartin (2-2, 3.10) will start the first game for Gwinnett, while right-hander Tim Corcoran (1-3, 3.93) will start the second game. Both games will be broadcast on WDUN 550 AM and 102.9 FM with Tony Schiavone calling the play-by-play.

Atlanta Braves’ right-hander Brandon Beachy was originally scheduled to make his first minor league injury rehab start for Gwinnett on Sunday. His next scheduled start is yet to be announced.

All May 19 tickets will be honored for any remaining 2013 Gwinnett Braves home game.
