Track and field fans can catch a glimpse of some of the sports top athletes today at Greater Atlanta Christian School.
The Norcross private school is hosting the Atlanta Grand Prix, which will feature Olympians from the 2008 Bejing and 2012 London Games.
The event is being hosted by Doyle Management Group and USA Track and Field Georgia.
"This will be an exciting event and something the entire Atlanta community can embrace," Meet Director Paul Doyle said. "Atlanta has been without a world-class track meet for quite some time and this was the perfect chance to bring one back to the city."
The meet includes U.S. athletes such as two-time Olympian Lolo Jones (100 hurdles), 2008 Bejing Olympian Queen Harrison (100 hurdles), gold medalist Ashton Eaton (100, long jump, shot put), silver medalist Trey Hardee (long jump) and bronze medalist Reese Hoffa (shot put). Three-time Olympian from Ireland Derval O'Rourke (100 hurdles) will also compete.
The event, which is free to the public, will also feature five invitation-only events for high school athletes.
