Gwinnett products lead Anderson softball to Super Regional

Gwinnett grads Jessica Neidigh, Bri Cason and Charlotte Sieber had strong showing in last weekend's NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Tournament, helping Anderson University (S.C.) advance to the Southeast Super Regional this weekend.

The Trojans defeated North Georgia (7-2), Georgia College and State University (7-5) and Lenoir-Rhyne (6-3).

Neidigh, a Brookwood grad, was 5-for-10 in the tourney with a home run, a triple, a double, three walks, five runs scored and four RBIs. Cason, a Collins Hill grad, was 3-for-7 with four runs scored, one RBI and three walks. Sieber, a Dacula grad, had two hits, including a double, and scored two runs.

Neidigh was named to the all-conference and all-region teams after leading the conference in batting average (.458), hits (87), runs (64) and triples (six). She is tied for second in doubles (14).
