NORCROSS -- The city of Norcross and the Gwinnett Chamber trumpeted a multi-million dollar investment by a lighting company at a ribbon cutting event on Friday.
Hera Lighting, located at 3025 Business Park Drive, added more than 20,000 square feet of office and warehouse space to its existing facility. It brings its total space to more than 36,500 square feet. The company designs, develops and manufactures lightning systems for cabinets, retail displays and furniture. A Chamber press release said the expansion represents a $3 million investment in the community.
The expansion would house more than 50 employees, the release said, while the corporate headquarters houses 25 employees.
Hera Lighting President Christian Bollrath said the company has experienced tremendous growth in the 18 years it's been in Gwinnett. The expansion would, "further strengthen our ability to provide service and products to our clients across the country," Bollrath said.
Norcross Mayor Bucky Johnson said he congratulated the company on the expansion.
"Hera's dedication to the city of Norcross is a testament to the growth and success of our business community and the economic vitality of this area," Johnson said.
Kellie Brownlow, the director of economic development for the Chamber said this expansion confirms a strong choice for a headquarters operations with access to a skilled workforce and significant infrastructure.
