NORCROSS -- When you think of street performers and jazz, Chicago, New York City and New Orleans may come to mind. On Friday, you can add Norcross to that list.
From 7 to 9 p.m., the sidewalks and alleys of historic downtown Norcross will be invaded with beasts, magicians, fire eaters and acrobats.
Street performers from Atlanta are invited to find a spot to entertain throughout the night. All of the acts are free to watch, but remember to tip. This is one way the performers make a living.
On Saturday evening, jazz musician Eric Thomas takes stage at the recently renovated Skin Alley for a free night of music. During the night, Thomas will be accompanied by WCLK 91.9FM Nicole "Velvet Voyce" Sweeney.
The public is invited to attend the 7 to 9 p.m. show with chairs and blankets.
