A week before a grand opening celebration will be held for the relocated headquarters for the national financial firm, officials agreed to rename Duluth’s Legacy Parkway to Primerica Parkway.
DULUTH -- Primerica isn't just one of the biggest companies based in Gwinnett. It is now also a place on the map.
A week before a grand opening celebration will be held on the relocated headquarters for the national financial firm, officials agreed to rename Duluth's Legacy Parkway to Primerica Parkway. The road acts as an entrance to the new 365,000-square-foot headquarters for both Meadow Church Road and Ga. Highway 120, with an entrance off Satellite Boulevard named Freedom Way Avenue.
"We wanted to utilize the opportunity to have the streets named to promote our company name and brand (and easy to find)," said Mark Supic, executive vice president of corporate communications for the company. He said the second street, Freedom Way Avenue is named for Primerica's goal "to educate our clients about how to put together a game plan that will help them achieve financial freedom."
Supic said the 1,600 local employees have already moved into the facility, which was built in partnership with Duke Realty. As the largest office space in Gwinnet, the building allows for 200 more employees in years to come, he adds.
A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for 2 p.m. May 17, with Gov. Nathan Deal and other dignitaries expected to attend.
Primerica is listed as Gwinnett's ninth largest employer, and the fifth largest private employer, according to the county government's website.
