Columbus State's Lewis, Pullen honored by Peach Belt

Gwinnett products Ryan Lewis and J.D. Pullen, both senior outfielders at Columbus State, were named to the All-Peach Belt Conference first team this week. Grayson grad Clay Ardeeser, a sophomore first baseman at Georgia College and State University, was on the second team.

Lewis, a Brookwood grad, hit .395 with six home runs and 39 RBIs and also scored 70 runs, which is the most in the nation. The speedster has also added 24 stolen bases, the second most in the PBC. Lewis also ranks in the top 10 nationally with 77 hits. He ranks in the top 10 at CSU for career games played (201), at-bats (765), runs (202), hits (268), doubles (41), homeruns (27), RBIs (162), walks (106) and stolen bases (59).

Pullen, a Providence Christian grad, is second in the PBC in batting average with a .396 mark while also ranking in the top 10 in the conference with a .466 on-base percentage. He stands ninth in the nation with 59 runs scored and 10th in hits with 67.

Ardeeser hit .361 with seven home runs and 52 RBIs along with 16 doubles.
