NORCROSS -- Rachel Garcia scored a hat trick for GAC in a 9-0 win over Union County in the second round of the states soccer playoffs Tuesday.

Katie Irwin, Kaitlin Mayer, Mollie Arrendale, Kayla Puzas, Halle Huff and Kaylann Boyd each scored a goal for the Spartans (17-1).

GIRLS SOCCER

Hebron 6, Pace Academy 0

DACULA -- Hebron had six different players score in its 6-0 victory over Pace Academy in the second round of the Class A state playoffs on Tuesday.

The Lions (15-1-1) got goals from Sarah Boyd, Alex Probst, McKenzie Towe, Bianca Clark, Emma Garner and Maddy Howe. Jordan Lowery added two assists, while Boyd, Towe, Clark and Garner also had assists.

Lexi Kent made 20 saves in goal.

Paideia 3, Providence 0

ATLANTA -- Providence lost to Paideia 3-0 in the second round of the Class A playoffs on Tuesday. The Storm finish the season 14-6.

BOYS TENNIS

Brookwood 3, Westlake 2

SNELLVILLE -- Brookwood advanced to the Class AAAAAA state championship match with a 3-2 win over Westlake on Tuesday.

The Broncos will play North Cobb in the state finals on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Clayton County park.

Brookwood (21-3) got wins from No. 3 singles player David Brown, the No. 1 doubles team of Matt Jones and Will McWhirt and the No. 2 doubles team of Daniel Drake and Ryan Pridgeon.

Wesleyan 5, Thomasville 0

NORCROSS -- Wesleyan coasted into the Class AA state finals with a 5-0 victory over visiting Thomasville on Tuesday afternoon.

Jeffrey Chang, Austin Zakas and Palmer Brasher swept the singles matches for the Wolves (11-9).

Cole Brown and Andrew Dorman won at No. 1 doubles and Cameron Anderson and Tucker Cannon took the No. 2 doubles point.

Wesleyan plays the Westminster-Cook winner in Saturday's state championship match.

North Cobb 3, Peachtree Ridge 2

SUWANEE -- Peachtree Ridge lost all three of its singles matches in its 3-2 loss to North Cobb on Tuesday in the Class AAAAAA state semifinals.

The Lions (16-4) got wins from Taylor Foote and Niki Makarenko at No. 1 doubles and Alex Peed and Colin Greeff at No. 2 doubles.

GIRLS TENNIS

Peachtree Ridge 3, Kennesaw Mountain 0

SUWANEE -- Peachtree Ridge advanced to the Class AAAAAA championship match with a 3-0 victory over Kennesaw Mountain on Tuesday.

The Lions (16-4) got wins from Abby Owens at No. 1 singles, Laura Kelly and Sreeja Choppara at No. 1 doubles and Mary Frances and Riley Guise at No. 2 doubles.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Walton 15, North Gwinnett 6

MARIETTA -- North Gwinnett was knocked out of the first round of the state playoffs with a 15-6 loss to Walton on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs (10-9) got a pair of goals from Katie Verret and Lindsey Cobb had a goal and an assist. Emily Nance, Lauren Aycock and K.J. Hardaway each had a goal.

Victoria Delenro made 15 saves in goal.

Milton 21, Collins Hill 1

MILTON -- Collins Hill lost in the first round of the state playoffs to Milton 21-1 on Tuesday.

The Eagles' (7-11) lone goal came from Abby Squires with an assist from Calli Star.

Abby Booth made four saves in the first half and Maddie Meely had nine.

GIRLS GOLF

Three Gwinnett teams advance from sectional

ROSWELL -- Mill Creek, Dacula and Duluth advanced to the state tournament later this month after qualifying at the state sectional at Country Club of Roswell on Tuesday.

Mill Creek and Duluth tied for second with a score of 271 and Duluth was seventh with a score of 288.

The top nine teams advanced to the state tournament. The trio will join region champions Brookwood and North Gwinnett at the state tournament.
