SUGAR HILL --Residents of Sugar Hill can put a little extra by the curb this week.
On regular trash pick-up days starting Monday, Advanced Disposal will pick up waste that it normally wouldn't for Sugar Hill residents -- things like discarded lawn and garden furniture, appliances, other furniture and "general debris lying around the yard or basement."
Items placed by the street will be picked up at no charge.
While the garbage crews will collect unusual stuff, they won't be accepting refrigerators or freezers, yard trash or trimmings, construction debris, hazardous materials, engines, propane tanks, mattresses or automotive parts. Check www.cityofsugarhill.com for a full list of items accepted and not accepted.
No Sugar Hill garbage bags are needed for items not typically accepted, but household garbage must still be in a bag or cart.
