History of the Eagles Blu-ray
Movie: 3 out of 4 stars
Disc: 3 out of 4 stars
Along with the Rolling Stones, the Eagles are one of only two bands from the '70s that are a bigger concert draw now than they were 30 years ago. Being dormant for 15 years after they broke up in 1980 only added to their slick, outlaw mystique and since the mid-'90s they've released just one (very average) album of new material while making a killing on the touring circuit. This three-disc set includes a concert from 1977 and a two-part documentary covering (most) of their turbulent past. If you have money to burn, there is also a limited edition gift set (list price: $299.99).
Technical specs: aspect ratio: Widescreen (1080p/1.77:1), audio: English (5.1 Dolby Digital, Stereo), subtitles: none.
• More than four hours of previously unseen footage
• Limited edition six-panel digipak with accompanying booklet
