PREP ROUNDUP: Lions girls tennis advances to semis

SUWANEE -- With a sweep in the singles matches, Peachtree Ridge's girls tennis team beat Lambert 3-2 to advance to the state semifinals.

Abbby Owens won at No. 1 singles and Jena Kelly and Ali Mills followed with wins at Nos. 2 and 3 singles.


Wesleyan edges GAC at St. Ives

JOHNS CREEK -- With a 34 from Cody Solomon, Wesleyan outscored GAC 158-162 at St. Ives Country Club.

Nick Ross shot a 39 and Will Clifton fired a 41 for the Wolves.

For GAC, Steffen Smith shot a 38 and Matthew Bowling shot 40.


Fazekas, GAC top Wesleyan

JOHNS CREEK -- Kathryn Fazekas shot a low of 42 to lead GAC past Wesleyan 89-97 at St. Ives Country Club.

Elizabeth Mizell followed Fazekas with a 47.

For GAC, Wilton Kennerly shot 47 and Riley Henning shot 50.


Wesleyan 23, North Springs 5

ROSWELL -- Meredith DiStasi saved 10 shots and Courtney O'Leary scored 10 goals as Wesleyan easily defeated North Springs 23-5.

Natalie Genthert added seven goals for the Wolves.


Collins Hill 15, Parkview 4

LILBURN -- Led by the defensive effort of Robert Snyder, Sean Harrington and Darien Mask, Collins Hill defeated Parkview 15-4.

Connor Pittman and Zach Cao scored three goals apeice to lead the Eagles' attack.
