Snaring a modest two Oscars out of 12 nominations, "Lincoln" did the near impossible: it's an epic-length (150 minutes) film top-heavy with political-based dialogue and is practically devoid of action. Covering just the last four month's of the 16th U.S. president's life, director Steven Spielberg's lush history lesson is far from the dry lecture one might expect, largely thanks to the otherworldly performance by Daniel Day-Lewis as the title character. Lincoln and Civil War cultists/completers will want to spend a couple more bucks for this 4-disc set as it includes double the amount of special features on the less expensive 2-disc item.

Technical specs: aspect ratio: Widescreen (1080p/2.40:1), audio: English (Dolby DTS-HDMA 7.1, DVS 2.0), French and Spanish (5.1 Dolby Digital), subtitles: English, French and Spanish.

Special features include:

• Bonus DVD + digital copy discs

• 6 featurettes
