Jasmine Hassell led four starters in double figures with 16 points as the Bulldogs cruised in the first round of the NCAA Tournament's Spokane Regional at Spokane, Wash.
Shacobia Barbee added 13 points and seven rebounds for fourth-seeded Georgia, which will face Iowa State for a chance to move on to the Sweet 16 on Monday at the same site. Jasmine James chipped in with 11 points for the Bulldogs (26-6).
Torry Hill was the lone Montana player to crack double-figures. Hill had 11 points for the 13th-seeded Grizzlies, who managed just one field goal for a seven-minute stretch late in the game sealing their fate.
Georgia, which has reached the Final Four five times, never trailed. The Bulldogs scored the first basket of the game and raced out to a 17-6 lead before the Grizzlies (24-8), who are no strangers to NCAA Tournament with 20 appearances, hit their stride.
Georgia led 32-25 at the half but Montana cut the deficit to 38-36 on a 3-pointer by Jordan Sullivan. But the Bulldogs responded with an 11-2 run, capped by a pair of jumpers by James, and maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
