LAWRENCEVILLE -- Best-selling author Stuart Woods last visited Gwinnett in September as part of the Gwinnett Public Library's fundraiser Lunch & Listen.
On April 9, he returns as part of the GCPL's Meet the Author series, which will be held at the Aurora Theatre at 7 p.m. Woods is promoting his latest novel "Unintended Consequences."
In this thriller, New York cop-turned-attorney Stone Barrington finds himself in a hospital in Paris, but he doesn't remember how he got there. He sets out to find how and why he is in France -- and his first clue comes from a mystery woman who invites him to dinner.
Woods was born in the town of Manchester and graduated from the University of Georgia, with a bachelor's degree in sociology. Since then, he's written more than 50 books.
According to a release, the "Meet the Author events are special opportunities hosted by the library for fans and avid readers to share in the experience of meeting prolific, best-selling and/or award winning authors to enjoy meaningful discussions about their works and the publishing process."
This event is free and open to the public, and books will be available for purchase and signing. The Aurora Theatre is located at 153 E. Crogan St. in Lawrenceville.
