GCPS announces 2013 graduation schedule

Gwinnett County Public Schools recently released its Class of 2013 graduation dates for 21 facilities in the district.

All of the graduations will take place between May 20 to 25. Fourteen of the 21 are being held at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

Brookwood, Central Gwinnett, Mill Creek and Parkview will hold their graduation ceremonies on their respective campuses.

The last day of school will be May 22. Early release for high school exams is scheduled for May 20-22.

It is riduculous for GCPS to give only two months notice for Graduations. 8 am and 8 pm graduations, really? really?

I suggest more schools should just have them on their own campuses. Sure weather is a concern, but if you are proactive you could have a couple of days and options to chose from. I guess that would cause them to be proactive.

And can anyone tell me if GCPS pays to use the facility and if so, how much?

Gwinnettsince1991...this Gwinnettsince1978 knows better. 2 month notice of graduation is enough notice. We have bigger fish to fry than to worry about this. Move on.
