LAWRENCEVILLE -- An orthopedic and sports medicine practice in Gwinnett known for fixing Meniscus tears, ACL injuries, rotator cuff tears and hip injuries is in a growth mode.
Sports Medicine South, the Lawrenceville facility led by Dr. Gary A. Levengood, will have a groundbreaking at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday for a 7,000 square foot extension and renovation to its existing building at 1900 Riverside Parkway.
"This is a major project for us and is due to both the positive growth of our practice for the last five years as well as our wishes to always meet each of our patient's needs," said human resources director and marketing coordinator Kaylee Rosenberger.
Trivest Construction Inc. is the general contractor for the project, which will have a first phase, or expansion, through July, and a second phase, the renovation, that will take place through the end of the year.
Rosenberger said the practice would remain open during the project, and the phasing is designed to cause mimimal inconvenience to patients.
