GRAYSON -- The Grayson City Council unanimously reappointed the entire slate of city board and commission members at Monday night's meeting.
All members had agreed to serve additional one-year terms. They are:
Planning and Zoning Commission: John West and David Cloud; Code Enforcement Board: Richard Parker, Michael Sutton and Burton May (alternate); Board of Appeals: Mark Wirt and Dan Sosebee; Director of Arts and History Center: Barbara Hinkle; City Historian: Steve Starling; and City Attorney: Thompson, Sweeny, Kinsinger and Pereira.
The council also awarded bids to contractors for work in the city. E.R. Snell of Snellville, was given the contract to do the resurfacing on Brannan Boulevard for $28,844, while Tri-Scape Inc. of Cumming was awarded the Streetscape Improvement T-Grant (GDOT) contract of $290,821 for work on Rosebud Road and Ga. Highway 20. In addition, Tri-Scape also will be doing the Median Landscaping Project (GATEway grant) for $47,560.
In other business, the council:
... Gave the contract to Southern Landscape Group for short-term lawn care work at the 438 Building.
... Awarded the bid for pest control spraying in Grayson Park to Mid-Georgia Pest Control Company.
... Selected ESU Electricians to do various projects in the city.
