Margaret Brown
LAWRENCEVILLE Margaret Brown Margaret Korody Brown, age 91, of Lawrenceville, GA died on March 16, 2013. She was born on January 17, 1922 in Greyeagle, W. VA. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph L. Brown. She is survived by her children, Deborah (David) Sittler, Kathleen Sowers, Joanne Hogan Brink and Michael (Don) Brown; seven grandchildren: Melissa Sittler, Evan Sittler, Lauren Sittler, Justin Sowers, Jonathan Sowers, Bridget Hogan Cigarroa, and James Hogan. Margaret was raised and educated in Holden, W.Va., graduating from Logan High School and then Charleston Business College, Charleston, W.VA. She worked for the Corps of Engineers in Washington, D.C. during and after WWII. Margaret met and married Joseph Brown in Washington, D.C. She was a devoted wife and mother and active in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister under the guidance of Father Jimmy Adams. She joined St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Lawrenceville, GA when her former church relocated. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 19 from 4:007:00 at Flanigan Funeral Home, 4400 S. Lee St., Buford, GA 30518. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 20 at 2:00 pm at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 319 Grayson Hwy, Lawrenceville,, GA 30045. Burial following the mass will be at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, 5979 New Bethany Rd., Buford, GA 30518. Arrangements by Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA. 770-932-1133.
