PREP ROUNDUP: Craport pitches Norcross to 5-0 shutout of Chattahoochee

NORCROSS -- Trevor Craport of Norcross delivered a complete-game shutout on Friday night to help the Blue Devils win 5-0 over Chattahoochee.

Craport (2-0) logged seven innings, scattering five hits with six strikeouts, no runs and no walks.

Griffin Helms led the offense for Norcross (7-2), going 3-for-4 with a double, a run, a stolen base and an RBI, while Jascanel Ferreras went 2-for-3 with a double, a run, an RBI and two stolen bases.

Joseph Wilber also drove in two runs with a single and stole a base.


Mill Creek 6, Lassiter 4

HOSCHTON -- Mill Creek starter Cody Pugh improved to 3-0 on Friday night as the Hawks held on to edge Lassiter 6-4.

Pugh went 6 innings, giving up one earned run on three hits, while Andrew Hostetter recorded the final two outs to notch his first save.

Brandon Harmon paced the offense, going 3-for-4 with three runs, while Logan Moseley added two hits and an RBI.

Duluth 11, Centennial 0

DULUTH -- Junior Fernandez of Duluth had two hits, including a two-run homer, and three RBIs on Friday night as the Wildcats pummeled Centennial 11-0 in five innings.

John Stoy (three hits, two RBIs), Eric Breaux (two hits, RBI) and Caleb Autry (two hits) all contributed on offense as Duluth (7-3) forged out 11 hits.

The win went to Austin Riedel (3-0), who struck out two and allowed two hits in five innings.

Collins Hill 8, Shiloh 3

SNELLVILLE -- John Topoleski and Ryan Askew each launched two-run homers on Friday night in leading Collins Hill 8-3 over Shiloh.

Askew also picked up the win, delivering six strong innings with one run on four hits.

Matthew Vaca also had a hit and an RBI for the Eagles (3-6), while Jared Meeks went 1-for-1.

Mountain View 4, Auburn (Ala.) 1

AUBURN, Ala. -- A.J. Moore pitched a complete game for Mountain View on Friday night as the Bears beat Auburn (Ala.) 4-1.

Moore allowed the one run on three hits, striking out nine along the way.

Beau Blair led the offense, delivering two doubles, scoring two runs and driving in one. Cameron Hawkins and Luis Vilchez had two hits each for the Bears (6-5), while Ben Utley, Garry Gwaltney and Peyton Fore each had one.

Meadowcreek 15, Clarkston 5

NORCROSS -- Meadowcreek improved to 3-4 on the season with a 15-5 win in six innings over Clarkston on Friday night for its third win in a row.

Deondre Smith led the offense with a double and two RBIs, while Austin Johnson and Johan Santos each had a hit.

Eric Arp started and recorded the win for the Mustangs.

Buford 10, Banks Co. 0

BUFORD -- Joey Bart of Buford collected four hits with three doubles and three RBIs as the Wolves blanked Banks County 10-0 on Friday night in Region 7-AAA.

Josh Bryan added a three-run homer, while Austin Upshaw had three hits as Buford improved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the region.

Upshaw was also the winning pitcher, going four innings with seven strikeouts, one hit and no runs.


Central 4, Archer 1

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Central Gwinnett posted its third straight win with a 4-1 victory at home over Archer on Friday night.

Samir Ramic had two goals and an assist for Central (9-1, 3-0), while Rigo Gudiel had a goal and two assists.

Isaac Ramirez also helped in the win by scoring a goal.

Brookwood 1, South 0, OT

SNELLVILLE -- Brahan Gamarra finally broke a scoreless tie with a goal in the second overtime to lift Brookwood to a 1-0 win over South Gwinnett on Friday night.

Andy Harris recorded two saves at keeper for Brookwood (6-2, 1-1) for the shutout, while Cameron Grassmyer and Alfredo Rivera helped keep South (3-4-1, 1-2) scoreless with solid defense.

Mill Creek 2, Norcross 0

HOSCHTON -- Mill Creek ran its record to 6-1 overall and 1-0 in Region 7-AAAAAA on Friday night with a 2-0 shutout over Norcross (3-5, 0-1).

Conner Buckley saved five shots in keeping Norcross off the scoreboard. The offense came from Tyler Moody and Noah Thomas with a goal each and Diego Manrique and Billy Johnson with an assist each.

North 3, Habersham 0

MOUNT AIRY -- North Gwinnett won its first Region 7-AAAAAA game on Friday night with a 3-0 shutout at Habersham Central.

North (3-2, 1-0) received a goal each from Brad Harvey, Kian Pourak and Josh Hoeft, while keeper Max Smith had five saves.

Collins Hill 4, Meadowcreek 3

NORCROSS -- Meadowcreek built a 2-0 lead, but Collins Hill bounced back to post a 4-3 win over the Mustangs in a Region 7-AAAAAA clash.

Paul Ille led the comeback with three goals, while Eli Carasco helped with a goal and an assist. Martin Sedarri also had an assist as the Eagles improved to 6-3 overall and 1-0 in the region.

Dacula 4, Shiloh 2

SNELLVILLE -- Dacula evened its Region 8-AAAAAA record at 2-2 on Friday night with a 4-2 win at Shiloh.

Joe Efford led the way for the Falcons (5-3-1 overall) with three goals, while James Omoerah added a goal and an assist.Brian Mejia chipped in with two assists, while Lonnie Cottrell assisted a goal.

West Hall 5, Buford 2

BUFORD -- West Hall spoiled Buford's Region 7-AAA opener on Friday night with a 5-2 win over the Wolves.

Buford (5-2, 0-1) received its goals from Jose Aguire and Constatino Torres.

GAC 3, Lovett 1

NORCROSS -- Greater Atlanta Christian stayed unbeaten on Friday night with a 3-1 win over Lovett in its Region 6-AA opener.

GAC (7-0-2, 1-0) received its goals from Brendan Dickerson, Davis Bryan and George Winfrey, while assists came from Bryan, Max Gomas and Zion Gray.

Hebron 3, Providence 0

DACULA -- Bailey Pinto, Cole Redman and Johnny Hardin all scored one goal on Friday night as Hebron blanked Providence 3-0.

Braden Elmer and Redman also each had an assist, while the shutout was earned at keeper by Noah Blalock. Hebron improved to 5-2-1 overall and 1-0 in Region 8B-A.


Dacula 6, Shiloh 0

SNELLVILLE -- Dacula improved to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in Region 8-AAAAAA on Friday night with a 6-0 shutout over Shiloh.

Leading the offense for Dacula was Makayla Clack with two goals and an assist, while Sydney Thomas and Sabrina Seibel added a goal and an assist each.

Also helping were Katie McAdams and Rebecca Shuler (one goal each), Sheyenne Powell (assist) and Madison Glunn (shutout at keeper).

Mill Creek 5, Norcross 1

HOSCHTON -- Mill Creek received all of its offense from Lauren Tanner, who scored five goals on Friday night in the Hawks' 5-1 win over Norcross.

Ellie Bowers provided assists on two of those goals, while Lauren Navas and Lora Bruce each assisted one. Mill Creek improved to 6-1 overall and 1-0 in Region 7-AAAAAA.

Norcross (5-4, 0-1) received its goal from Nicki Willis.

Archer 2, Central 0

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Marissa Jordan and Caroline Mangum scored one goal each on Friday night in helping Archer blank Central Gwinnett 2-0 in a Region 8-AAAAAA battle.

The shutout went to keeper Rachael Pfeiffer. Archer improved to 3-4-1 overall and 2-2 in the region.

Collins Hill 9, Meadowcreek 0

NORCROSS -- Collins Hill opened its Region 7-AAAAAA schedule on Friday night with an emphatic 9-0 shutout over Meadowcreek.Paige Hoover accounted for seven points by scoring four goals and assisting three, while Jessica Dacey had a huge night with three goals and an assist.

Dena Cisic assisted three of the nine goals, with Kelsey Lawrence and Kaitlyn DelSavio each had an assist. The Eagles (7-1-1 overall) also received single goals from Latia Jones and Desiree Brown.

North 6, Habersham 0

MOUNT AIRY -- North Gwinnett put together an aggressive attack on offense Friday night by outshooting Habersham Central 25-1 en route to a 6-0 shutout in a Region 7-AAAAAA game.

Taylor Burns recorded the hat trick for North (3-4, 1-0), while Katie Strand, Caroline Gualdoni and Jordan Goldring each scored one goal. Gualdoni also tallied three assists.

Lanier 3, Winder-Barrow 2

SUGAR HILL -- Maddie Corley of Lanier scored with about five minutes left as the Longhorns held on for a 3-2 win over Winder-Barrow in a Region 8-AAAA game.

Tori Wyant and Amy Groth also added a goal each as Lanier, which has now won three in a row, improved to 5-4 overall and 2-0 in the region.

Buford 10, West Hall 0

BUFORD -- Buford began its Region 7-AAA schedule on Friday night with a 10-0 shutout at home against West Hall.

Elexa Bahr exploded for six goals and an assist for the Wolves (8-0 1-0), while Caitlyn Dawkins, Brie Smith, Ambria Shutts and Mia Edmond each scored one.

Smith, Ann Schmidt and Tara Dambach also helped with two assists each, While Shutts and Edmond each had one.

GAC 7, Lovett 0

NORCROSS -- Rachel Garcia scored three goals and assisted one more to lead Greater Atlanta Christian to a 7-0 shutout over Lovett on Friday night in Region 6-AA.

Adding one goal each for the Spartans (8-1, 1-0) were Mollie Arrendale, Kayla Puzas, Halle Huff and Kaylann Boyd. Assists came from Anne Winfrey and Huff, while Liz White and Melissa Gray shared time at keeper for the shutout.

Hebron 3, Providence 0

DACULA -- Hebron won its Region 8-A opener on Friday night by shutting out Providence 3-0.

McKenzie Towe scored two goals for the Lions (6-1-1, 1-0) and assisted the third, which was scored by Jordan Lowery.

Towe's pair of goals came off assists from Sarah Boyd, while keeper Lexi Kent helped keep Providence scoreless with eight saves.


Athens Christian 171, Hebron 191

COMMERCE -- Hebron fell to Athens Christian 171 to 191 on Friday afternoon in a match played at Double Oaks.


Hebron 38, Athens Christian 42

COMMERCE -- It was a one-on-one match on Friday afternoon at Double Oaks between Reece Brooks of Hebron and Michelle Edwards of Athens Christian.

Edwards put together a solid round with 42, but Brooks was better, carding a round of 38 for the win.


Grayson 14, Archer 1

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Grayson improved to 5-3 on Friday night with a 14-1 win over Archer.

Leading the Rams was Sharp Reynierson with three goals and an assist, while Garrett Gorski helped with two goals and three assists.

Dutton Hunter and Zach Cernich each added two goals, while two keepers in Josh Parris (six saves) and Danny Tresser (five saves) combined for the win.

North 10, Collins Hill 5

SUWANEE -- North Gwinnett posted a 10-5 win at home on Friday night, defeating cross-town rival Collins Hill with a strong defensive effort

Scoring two goals each for North (5-1) were Sam Gasta, Nathan Howell and Luke Printz, while Dan Constant, Jack Rayan, Spencer Howey and Joe Whitaker each scored one. Adding one assist each were Printz, Rayan and Tyler Ortolano. Evan Richardson had seven saves at keeper.

Collins Hill (4-4) received two goals from Conner Pittman, while Andrew Martinez, Patrick Norton and Chet Popelka each scored on. Tim Singer also had an assist for the Eagles.

Mill Creek 13, Brookwood 3

SNELLVILLE -- Mill Creek received at least one goal from eight different players as the Hawks topped Brookwood 13-3 on Friday night.

Nick Kozlowski was the top scorer for Mill Creek (9-1, 6-0) with three goals and an assist, while Nick Eldridge, Sam Kibildis and Zach Roper each scored two.

Four other Hawks chipped in with one goal each.

Duluth 12, North Forsyth 4

DULUTH -- Sky Tabor of Duluth saved a dozen shots at keeper on Friday night in helping the Wildcats defeat North Forsyth 12-4.

Brendan Eckard, Ryan Middleton and Jason Kim all scored three goals in the win. Middleton also had two assists, while Kim won 18 of 20 faceoffs.


South Forsyth 18, Grayson 13

LOGANVILLE -- Grayson received six goals and two assists from Austyn Gorski, but the Rams still fell short 18-13 at home against South Forsyth on Friday night.

Ashley Mistretta finished with four goals for the Rams (3-3), while Lyndsay Parris and Brooke Eberhart each had a goal and an assist.

Anna Scartz tallied two assists with one goal, while keeper Taylor Denton had 12 saves.

Brookwood 21, GAC 6

NORCROSS -- Brookwood received goals from eight different players on Friday night as the Broncos rolled to a 21-6 win over Greater Atlanta Christian.

Taylor Stercay led the way for Brookwood (2-5) with seven goals and an assist, while Courtney Ross, Paige Miller and Amile Shake each scored three.

Haley Curtin chipped in with two goals and two assists, while keeper Brooke Wagner had five saves.

Mountain View 20, Campbell 12

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Kirsten Whitt scored seven goals and Zoe Foy added five more as Mountain View ran past Campbell 20-12 on Friday night.

Meghan Tonnesen also helped the offense with four goals, while the defense was anchored by 11 saves from keeper Ella Makin. The win evened Mountain View's record at 2-2.

Archer 16, Parkview 11

LILBURN -- Brittany Gary of Archer accounted for 10 points with six goals and four assists on Friday night in helping the Tigers get past Parkview 16-11.

Morgan McCalla followed up Gary's effort with five goals. Archer improved to 4-2-1.

Kennesaw Mountain 13, North 7

KENNESAW -- Kennesaw Mountain defeated North Gwinnett on Friday night 13-7 in a non-region game.

Lauren Aycock led the offense for North (4-4) with three goals, while Jillian Polanski scored two.

Emily Nance was the top defensive player with six ground balls and three forced turnovers, while keeper Victoria Delnero recorded nine saves.
