SUWANEE -- Where can you find hundreds of beers from 104 breweries on Saturday?

No, it's not your local package store -- although that answer works, too. It's the Suwanee American Craft Beer Festival at Town Center Park.

Last year, the Fest featured more than 250 types of beer from 101 breweries, and the event hosted about 5,000 people.

Those who purchase general admission tickets receive a glass for three-ounce unlimited tasting. VIP ticket holders come with access to a catered special menu, which is paired with exclusive cask beers, a T-shirt, tasting glass and early admission. VIP tickets are sold out for this year.

Since there is going to be a lot of drinking involved, there are designated driver tickets for sale. Designated driver ticket holders will be given a bottled water and a different colored wristband. If caught drinking, these people will immediately be removed from the festival.

Beside tasting craft beers from around the country, there will be live music, which includes Ful Kinetic, The Daniels Brothers Band and Outatime.

For the constant shoppers, vendors will be on site selling their wares.

It's also the second straight installment of the Home Brew competition coordinated by Robert Carlton of the Brew Depot in Alpharetta. There is a limit of 200 entries for the competition, which will award a "best of show" award and judged by Beer Judge Certification Program standards in all beer categories.

A portion of the proceeds from the Beef Fest goes to Kingdom Kids, a Gwinnett charity.

This is a 21-year and older event, even for designated drivers. Children and pets are not allowed into the Beer Fest.
